Blenkinsopp Castle
Blenkinsopp Castle dates back to the 14th Century. Back in 2007 Heritage Consolidation started work on the restoration of the ruins to safeguard this areas historic landmark. As you would expect from a 2 year project the repairs were extensive and varied from lime work repairs and re pointing to the use of more modern materials such as resins and stainless steel. We were allocated 3 years to complete the project but completed in 18 months and the building has now been secured for the foreseeable future.
Working along side English Heritage the Castle was completed in 2008. Blenkinsopp Castle has now been removed from the 'at risk' register.
